Conduit
Only on payments collected & recorded through Conduit — including invoices you mark paid by cash, check, or another method. You can absorb the 1% or pass it on to the customer. The $200 monthly cap applies only to fees you absorb — fees your customers cover never cost you anything, so pass the fee every time and you'll never pay Conduit a cent.

Pass the fee on to your customers and you never pay Conduit anything — ever. Passed-on fees don't count toward the $200 monthly cap because there's nothing for it to cap: the cap only limits fees you absorb.
Conduit's 1% applies only to your work subtotal — never to sales tax, and never to Stripe's processing fee (we don't charge a fee on a fee) — and it's capped at $50 per invoice; fees you absorb are additionally capped at $200 per calendar month. Stripe's fee is separate: 2.9% + 30¢ for cards, or 0.8% (capped at $5) for bank transfers — shown clearly and, like Conduit's fee, optionally passed to the customer if they choose to pay online.

Is it really free to start?
Yes. Creating your workspace, sending quotes, scheduling, and managing customers costs nothing. You only pay the 1% software fee when an invoice is paid — capped at $50 per invoice and, on fees you absorb, $200 per month. Pass the fee to your customers and you pay $0.
What about payment processing fees?
Card and bank payments run on Stripe, which charges its standard processing fee (about 2.9% + 30¢ for cards, or 0.8% capped at $5 for bank transfers). We show it transparently on every invoice, and you can choose to pass it to the customer. And customers never have to pay online at all — they can still pay by cash, check, or any other method, and you simply mark the invoice as paid.
Do I need to connect a bank or card to start?
No. You can build your whole workspace first. You'll connect a payout account when you're ready to collect your first online payment.
Are there limits or per-seat fees?
No per-seat fees and no usage limits. Invite your whole office and field crew — it's all included.
Can I cancel anytime?
Anytime. There's no contract and no monthly bill to cancel — if you stop using Conduit, you simply stop paying.
